Season Wrap-Up

Women”s Basketball for 2010 came to a close with ended with marked improvement from start to finish. The women crusaders came very close to knocking off conference champion Southwest Christian University .  The maturity process is beginning to show as they  came ever closer to finishing off ball games against good teams but fell just short each time. If the “core” stays together and we add a few recruits,  next season could be a step to the next level.  Desiree Powell  and Whitney Williams provided the sharp shooting and  Courtney Haskell, providing shot blocking and rebounding.  Interim Coach Rhonda Givens filled in admirably for former coach Doyle Moncrief. She will be an assistant in the upcoming season to new Head Coach Axel Rivera.
